Expert Tips for Anxiety, Nausea, and Burnout With Ashley Lourens

Ashley Lourens on The Mental Health Today Show

Ashley currently practices as a mental wellness counselor and mental health speaker. She has worked for various NGOs and International corporate mental health organizations, as a therapist, psychoeducator, and in managerial roles.

She graduated from Stellenbosch University with an Honors in Psychology. And her areas of specialty are relationships and anxiety. 


Ashley’s journey into the mental health field started with her own quest for healing. The experience she had with an awesome therapist completely changed the course of her life. Ashley chose psychology as part of her Humanities degree and fell in love with the field. 


Studying psychology while going through psychotherapy was an incredible experience. Learning how humans worked helped her to make sense of the world and heal. Ashley’s greatest goal is to share knowledge, experiences, and lessons in hopes of bringing the beauty of this journey to others.
